The chief secretary of Haryana, Sanjeev Kaushal, has directed the formation of coordination committees in each district.
Their goal is to improve interdepartmental coordination in order to undertake efficient pollution control measures. Kaushal also proposed a restriction on wastewater discharge into drains in Rohtak, Panipat, and Karnal districts.
