According to the study, global warming is a major cause of the sea-level rise, and Chennai and Kolkata are particularly vulnerable in India.
As per a new climate change study, Chennai and Kolkata are at high risk if sea levels rise. Yangon, Bangkok, Ho Chi Minh City, Manila, the western tropical Pacific islands, and the western Indian Ocean are also at risk, according to PTI.
Expectations from the collaborators: The research looked at how natural sea-level fluctuations affect the projected rise due to global warming and climate change.
Incentives: The study, published in the journal Nature Climate Change.
