India’s first renewable
India based eco-friendly footwear brand uses recycled plastic bottles and tyres to manufacture shoes, it’s the first of its kind. With an aim of reducing the carbon footprint in footwear manufacturing, two brothers Taran Chhabra and Amar Preet Singh launched the footwear brand ‘Neeman’ to produce sustainable shoes.
Expectations from the collaborators: But, Neeman uses renewable and biodegradable fibres made out of processed plastic bottles, tyres, and merino wool to make uppers, insoles, and soles for packaging.
Incentives: Traditionally the footwear industry uses plastic, animal skin, and other synthetic materials that have significant harmful impacts on the environment.
